A federal judge in Massachusetts rejected JetBlue’s effort to reconsider its motion for summary judgment in a lawsuit against it arising from a cabin overhead bin that allegedly detached and struck and injured a passenger.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani for the District of Massachusetts denied JetBlue’s motion for summary judgment in September, finding it was best left for a jury to decide if the airliner was negligent in its maintenance actions following repeated incidents involving the overhead bin door that allegedly detached and struck David Mellor.
